This blog is all about about my wonderful family. I met my husband, Grant on January 27th 2005. We hit it off from the word go and 2 weeks later on the 16th February he moved in with me. On the 6th of March 2005 (mothers day) i did a pregnancy text, i was 4 weeks pregnant, we had only beed together 6 weeks. This was a huge shock but one we were very pleased about. I had a rough pregnancy, at 8 weeks i was admitted to hospital, the doctors thought i was having a eptopic pregnancy because i was so ill, it turns out the pregnancy was fine but i had hyperemissis, which is really bad morning sickness. I was in hospital for 3 days on a drip. On my 20 weeks scan the doctors found an abnormality with our baby, he had Bilactral Talipes, otherwise known as club feet. We were sent to The Kings Collage Hospital in London for further scan where they confirmed our baby defiantly had it. Luckily everything else was fine. We also found out at this time we were having a boy. Grant was over the moon about it, he always to have a boy first. Mitch was finally born on November 23rd at 8.07am after a 5 hour and 10 minute labour. We called our son Mitchell Robbie Dawson, my mum and Grant were by my side as mitch came in to the world, i had 3 of the most important people in my life with me. Mitch is still under going treatment for his talipes although to look him now during the day he looks like most other 2 year old, but at night it's a different story when he has his special boots and bars on to train his feet to carry on growing in the right direction. The plaster casts and operation he had worked wonders on correcting his little feet, now it's the job of his night time shoes to continue the job. Sadly we lost my mum on April 2nd 2007 but not a day goes by when i don't think about her and wish that she could be here to see her grandson grow up in the the amazing brave little boy that he is today.
Me and Grant are now planning on making a new adition to our little family. We're hoping for a baby brother or sister for mitch really soon, so watch this space for the news of a pregnancy, hopefully we won't have long to wait.
